Alliance for Empowerment is not-for-profit entity that was formed in 2022 to function as the administrative parent company for both Able2 and Capabilities.

Alliance for Empowerment is now led by new CEO, William C. Wasserman, who began his role in January 2025, after Leisa Alger retired from her CEO position, dedicating 25 years of service to Alliance and Able2 combined. Administrative personnel from both organizations also serve on the Alliance Leadership Team.

Alliance for Empowerment is a response to the current labor crisis and overall economic uncertainties. This partnership was born of mutual respect, common concerns, and the desire to secure and grow future strength for the missions of our organizations. Trust, familiarity, and open communication were essential ingredients when the two agencies approached the table to discuss making their vision for high-performing administrative services a reality. The reorganization will help us to weather the storms of changing regulatory and financial landscapes as smaller non-profits.
