Able2 Enhancing Potential serves people with developmental disabilities in Chemung County, NY by creating opportunities for them to live their best lives and be contributors to the community.  Founded in 1949, Able2 currently serves over 1,800 individuals through 24/7 residential opportunities, day and community habilitation services, clinical services, and self-determination supports.  Able2 employs approximately 200 direct care workers and professional staff members.  To learn more about Able2, visit:

About the CEO Position:
Reporting to Alliance’s Board of Directors, the CEO works in partnership with the Board to set and implement the strategic vision for Alliance and direct the senior leadership team to ensure operational and fiscal resources are marshalled in service to that vision. The CEO works alongside senior leadership staff within Alliance and among the network organizations to support each organization’s sustainability and plays a formative role in continuing to build the culture of Alliance around community service, accountability, and results that advance the mission and people of all network organizations.  There is a Chief Operating Officer for each network organization, and these position report to Alliance’s CEO.  The CEO oversees an annual operating budget of approximately $15 million.  This is primarily an on-site role based out of Able2’s Charles Street, Elmira location, though flexibility for occasional remote work is possible.  Periodic travel is required.  The anticipated start date for the position is late fall / early winter 2024.

This position is an exceptional opportunity for a systems-level thinker and collaborative and transformative leader.  A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of eight years of senior leadership experience with at least five years of progressively responsible experience for an entity serving persons with disabilities or a related field in support of vulnerable populations are required.  A masters’ degree is preferred.  The successful candidate will have strong business and financial acumen within the non-profit sector and a proven record of working collaboratively with governmental and regulatory organizations such as the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), the Department of Health (DOH) and/or the Office of Mental Health (OMH)as well as a demonstrated capacity to engage fundraising campaigns, philanthropic initiatives, and grant-based funding sources.

Review of application materials will begin on September 6, 2024, and continue until the position is filled.  The anticipated hiring range for the Chief Executive Officer position is $140,000 - $160,000 with limited flexibility for an exceptionally qualified candidate.  This position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance and retirement contributions, among other benefits.
